Lavina Arlotta Jeter grew up in Fort Worth, Texas although she and her brother were born in Pennsylvania.  While attending NWOSU getting her biology degree, she learned to scuba dive. After college, she moved to Dallas/Richardson, Texas.  Lavina was a Tenant/Buyer’s Agent for commercial real estate; primarily with medical professionals at Pizel & Associates CR.  After her two daughters were out of school, she moved to Honolulu, Hawaii for five years.  During that time, she traveled the world as a Travel Director.

She and Jay were married in Honolulu, Hawaii. They lived in Austin, Texas, where Gary Williams founded Keller Williams Realty in 1983.
